This book documents the first 100 years of the oldest current Turkey Day football rivalry west of the Mississippi River. Included in it is a history of football at Kirkwood and Webster Groves prior to the foundation of the Turkey Day Game in 1907. In addition to stories and history regarding the game, the book explains the involvement of cheerleading, half time shows, dances, pep assemblies and pranks, not to mention the joys and heartbreaks associated with it over the past 100 years. No book has ever documented the Turkey Day Game with so much detail and photography.
Pre-purchasers of the book prior to October 1, 2007 will receive a special autographed and numbered edition in order of purchase. Please note that your credit card will be charged for the full amount of the book at the time of the transaction and the product will not begin shipping until November 3. Also, the first 250 books sold will include a free movie pass for a special screening and book signing party on November 3rd, 2007 of the Turkey Day Game documentary film expected to be released in late 2008.
